First Baptist Church of Media is an Independent Baptist church located about 10 miles south west of Philadelphia. FBC has been reaching out to the lost and hurting in Deleware County and faithfully preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1872.

Our Leaders

Rev. Bob Beverly

Pastor Bob has graced the pulpit of First Baptist since 1998.
Born and raised in West Virginia, a young Robert Beverly confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and several years later heeded the call to become involved in full-time ministry. He pastored two churches in Virginia before moving with his family to Media. He and his wife, Jayne, have four children; Katie, Susie, Seth, and Jimmy.

Pastor Bob recently recieved his Master of Divinity from Philadelphia Biblical University.  He also holds a Master of Religious Education (Concentration in Counseling) from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Bible and Theology from Appalachian Bible College.
